Service www.viaregiaplus.eu launched

On 05.07.2010 the service www.viaregiaplus.eu has been launched. All news and results of the CENTRAL EUROPE project Via Regia Plus will be published there.

The service www.edc-viaregia.eu will be kept active until 2011, presenting the results of the project ED-C III Via Regia.

A vision for the corridor

The strategy of spatial development was the key results of the INTERREG III B CADSES project ED-C III Via Regia. It is borne by the vision of a dynamic region of growth from eastern Germany via southern Poland into the Ukraine, also incorporating the neighbouring regions in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic.

The strategy is a milestone for the cooperation of cities and regions along the Via Regia. It demonstrates the common interests and potentials for development. It is composed of four thematic sections:

• Accessibility
• Urban development
• Economic development
• Tourism

In each section case studies illustrate what is possible at local and regional levels to realise the vision of a growth region with dynamic development along the Via Regia.
